ML&L Cares Program Spotlight: American Cancer Society (ACS) Real Men Wear Pink Campaignn
In September, Will Lemanski was approached by Katie Jones of the American Cancer Society in Lansing to participate in the Real Men Wear Pink campaign last month. Lemanski has had a number of friends and clients affected by breast cancer and felt this was a fantastic way to honor their courageous battles.n
The American Cancer Society host their Real Men Wear Pink campaign for the entire month of October and asks that participants wear pink in a variety of ways from socks, shoes, shirts, pants, bracelets, ties etc. Their goal is to increase awareness that breast cancer not only affects women but also men too!
These community leaders educate, raise awareness and funding for ACS. This “band of brothers” was asked to fundraise a minimum of $2500. Will started fundraising right away and hit the ground running! He took to social media, made calls and sent emails to his family, friends, customers and insurance carriers. His contacts answered his calls, emails and social media pleas in a big way! He smashed his $2500 goal and raised over $3100 which put him in the Top 3 of fundraisers in the campaign. He can’t thank everyone enough for their generous support of his amazing organization!
Lemanski would also like to thank Michigan Insurance Company for their generous donation and partnership with the agency! He couldn’t have done it without their support! Thank you all for making a difference in cancer research! #teammllins #communityinvolvement #realmenwearpink #ACS #cancersucks #beatingcancern
