A few weeks ago now Lisa Lemanski and Ben Rathbun were asked by the Mid-Michigan CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters) chapter to speak on running a successful family insurance agency. Both were very honored to present on this topic as ML&L is a fourth generation insurance family business and Rathbun is a third generation family business.
They chatted with about 130 attendees about their experiences in buying into a family business and working with family and the rewards and challenges that it can present. They spent some time talking about enhancing company cultures, process and procedures. They also chatted for a little bit about their backgrounds and how they ended up in the insurance industry.
