Who’s Best at Christmas? Competition
It was three years ago when Financial Strategies Group (FSG) reached out to us to see if we would be ready and willing to participate in the Who’s Best at Christmas? competition. It would require us to pick a local charity of our choice to raise awareness and collect donations during a set period of time. PLUS, it would require lip syncing!!! Yes, that’s right a lip sync! We were in! Our team couldn’t have been more excited to be asked! After a lot of thought and discussion we selected “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer.” Not only did we lip sync we all dressed up in our Christmas finest with Justin playing Grandma and we killed it! That year we collected for Child and Family Charities and won the first ever competition.
Last year FSG asked us back for Round 2 of the Christmas competition. We were excited to learn that instead of a lip synch we would be dressing one of our team up as a human Christmas tree! We also were able to select a charity of our choice to raise awareness and collect donations for again. We decided to change things up again and donate to Homeless Angels who needed hats, gloves, and socks. We planned for a couple weeks, and Chris volunteered to be our tree and did he shine!! He was a fantastic Christmas tree, and our team did a fantastic job of making him shine! We collected over 500 socks, gloves, and hats for Homeless Angels. We were winners again last year and were awarded the coveted Christmas tree trophy.
This year, FSG outdid themselves with our theme…Awkward Family Christmas Photo. Our team decided that we wanted to go with a redneck family vacation photo. We really outdid ourselves this year and added some super special touches to our photo! Tully Buttons even got in on the action ????
We decided that this year we would continue with our donations to Homeless Angels and with the help of our team, friends, family, and clients we brought in 1,005 hats, gloves, and socks for the homeless. We couldn’t believe it! We doubled our donations from last year.
That being said we love being a part of a competition that involves local businesses giving back to their communities and helping spread the word about three amazing non-profits who really need our help.
We are really looking forward to 2022!
