MLL Cares: Danny Bath Legacy Awards
About six years ago now Will and I decided to implement the MLL Cares: Trusted Choice for Charities program. What is this? Our agency will donate $500 each month to a local area non-profit that is referred to us by YOU, our clients. Just email mllcares@mllins.com with the name of the charity, a quick description and contact information for the charity.
The names of the charities that are referred to us go before our MLL Charity committee that consists of a team member from our service, sales and management team and they select one recipient each month. The charities that were not selected stay on our list for the following month. The more times the same charity is referred to the more weight it is given before the committee.

This month’s recipient is: Danny Bath Legacy Awards
In February, the Danny Bath Legacy Awards fundraiser were held to help raise funds to provide scholarships for automotive graduates from the Wilson Talent Center—Automotive Repair Program and to one EMT graduate from Medstar Ambulance. Both of these programs were extremely close to Danny Bath’s heart. In fact, Danny was only three short weeks away from his EMT graduation when he hit a patch of black ice and hit a tree and was killed.
To honor Danny and his spirit of helping others and love of everything automotive created the Transforming Pain into Purpose event that was held in February at Royal Scot. His family was able to award two automotive graduates from the Automotive Repair program and one EMT graduate a scholarship valued at $2500.
Our agency was thrilled to be able to help donate funds as a Mustang Maverick Donor to help keep Danny’s legacy at Wilson Talent Center and Medstar alive. We are happy to be a small part in helping Danny’s family “Transform Pain into Purpose. Their foundation ahs already helped 22 different students and families and they are just getting started.
