Our Future Looks Pretty Bright! Internship Season is here at MLL Insurance!
MLL Insurance has always believed in the power and importance of education. We have invested thousands of dollars into educational classes, licensing and insurance designations so our team is up to date with the latest trends in our industry. A number of us have gone to local high schools and colleges and shared our experiences and stories with students across the state. We have a very admirable industry that helps people and businesses when terrible storms come crashing into their lives. We protect not only their assets but also their families when disaster strikes with a variety of life insurance, annuities, and long-term care products to name a few. The only way to spread the word is to share our story in a variety of ways. That may be through going to classrooms but also by having students come in and work side by side with our amazing team.
Over the years we’ve had a couple of interns but it has been a few years since our last one arrived. We are very pleased to have Kamryn Burchell join our team this summer. Kamryn graduated from Lansing Christian High School this May and is pumped to start school in the fall at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, MI. She will be studying business and is very interested in predictive analytics. Her mother works for a local independent insurance company so insurance seems to run in her blood :) !
We are over the moon to show her the role that the local independent insurance agency plays in the insurance industry and economy. She will be job shadowing our team and has some special projects to help clean up some of the data that our management system gathers. Our hope is to have her go out on some appointments with our sales team and to observe the sales process from start to finish. She will see first-hand the impact our service team has on our clients and the kinds of requests and duties that they perform. She will also have the opportunity to see the inner workings of a medium sized local business and how changes that insurance companies make directly and indirectly impact not only the agency, our team and also our clients and since we work with multiple companies it can be quite considerable.
We are really excited to have a fresh new perspective in the office and can’t wait to see what new ideas she brings to the table. We hope she learns as much from us as we learn from her!
Welcome Kam to MLL Insurance!
